The "TP" is a high-temperature sheath thermocouple that exhibits excellent durability and stability in high-temperature ranges (above 1000°C) compared to conventional Inconel and stainless steel sheath thermocouples. The sheath material is based on a Ni-Cr alloy, incorporating Fe and Al as well. It can be used at temperatures up to 1335°C (with sheath outer diameters ranging from φ3.2 to φ9.5). About sheath thermocouples

Introducing "sheath thermocouples," which have a faster response time compared to protective tube thermocouples.

A "sheath thermocouple" is a thermocouple wire housed within a thin metal tube (sheath), filled with high-purity inorganic insulating powder (magnesium oxide/MgO) for insulation, and further processed to reduce the outer diameter. This design maintains insulation while also sealing the wire to prevent corrosion and degradation of the thermocouple from air or gases at high temperatures. Since the space between the thermocouple wire and the metal sheath is filled with MgO, it has a monolithic structure, resulting in a faster response time compared to protective tube-type thermocouples.
